[RUGBY LEAGUE] Shaun Berrigan signs with Hull FC

Shaun Berrigan is swapping the warmth of Queensland for the cold of England in 2008 after signing a 4 year deal with Hull FC in the UK Super League.

Berrigan becomes the second high profile Broncos player to leave the club in the past month after Brent Tate signed to play for the Warriors - both deals start in 2008. The current Queensland and Australian representative will earn some serious coin in England's north west and at 28 he should give his new side a decent return on their investment as he is still in his prime.

The move by Hull comes in the wake of the loss of Paul Cooke to crosstown rivals Hull Kingston Rovers in a mid-season transfer and knowing how much the Hull fans loved Cooke (although not anymore) - I'd say Berrigan's tenacious and high tempo style will make him a fan favourite overnight.
