Predictably the Queensland State of Origin selectors have stayed strong with 16 of the 17 men who won the first game of the series and added Carl Webb to the run on team where he was originally listed for Game I before he pulled out with injury. The man who replaced him Antonio Kaufusi suffered a serious knee injury in that game and was obviously unavailable.

Matt Bowen failed to make the bench despite the media push for him to be included while it would appear unlikely that Dane Carlaw would be named 18th man again after being demoted to the bench by the Broncos last round.

Skipper Darren Lockyer has been named despite suffering a back injury in the Broncos shock loss to the Dragons last Friday Night.
